Global Equities

January 11, 2023

There are lot of different types of equity investments out there, so it’s often hard to know what they all mean and the differences between them.

At Talaria we’re an Australian based global equity fund, meaning that while our fund is based in Australia, all the equities or stocks we buy are in companies based anywhere other than Australia. Global equities are the same thing as international equities, and all the equities we buy are in large market-capitalized companies with a developed market (e.g., the USA) listing.

However, there is more to it than that. Importantly we are active managers, meaning our investment team actively researches and investigates companies to add to the portfolio, rather than just following a global equity Index which is a passive way to invest.

One of the key benefits of the Talaria Global Equity Fund (Managed Fund) is that it generates high levels of global equity income from both the equities themselves via dividends, but mainly from via the process we use to buy the equities. This is one of the ways Talaria is a unique player in the global equity market in Australia.
